Anders Ström has been designated as the Kambi Group’s incoming Board Chair.
This comes after Lars Stugemo’s statement that he would be resigning after almost ten years in the position. Stugemo, a Kambi co-founder and its Chairman since its inception, has opted not to stand for re-election. He believed that now was the appropriate moment to relinquish leadership, given the company’s solid foundation and Anders Ström’s readiness to take over. Stugemo expressed tremendous satisfaction in Kambi’s development from its humble beginnings to a global leader.
Ström contributes decades of expertise. In 1997, he founded Kindred Group, and in 2010, he co-founded Kambi. Having served on the Kambi board since its formation, he is well-suited to lead the organization ahead.
He expressed, “Receiving the Kambi board’s request to act as chairman is a true privilege. The company has found its footing lately, securing agreements with collaborators and transforming the landscape of sports wagering, and I’m excited to guide the board through this period.”
It’s important to mention that Stran, as a member of the nomination committee and board, did not participate in the selection procedure.
