Allwyn Strengthens Leadership with Industry Heavyweights for National Lottery Transition

The UKs designated National Lottery operator, Allwyn, has recruited two industry giants, Sharon Doherty and Victoria McKenzie-Gould, to their leadership team. As independent non-executive directors, they will contribute a vast amount of knowledge.

Doherty, a leader in technology and organizational change, currently oversees human resources and workplace planning at Lloyds Banking Group. She is enthusiastic about leveraging her skills for an entity as influential as the National Lottery.

With a history in corporate communications at Marks & Spencer, McKenzie-Gould grasps the significance of managing intricate stakeholder dynamics. She acknowledges the National Lottery’s impact extends beyond games of luck, highlighting its function as a positive influence.

Both are committed to guaranteeing a seamless handover when Allwyn assumes control in February 2024, prioritizing player satisfaction and ethical gaming practices.

We were delighted to have Victoria and Sharon join Allwyn,” stated Justin King, Chairman of the Board. “Their extensive knowledge and skills will be invaluable as we manage the exciting shift to becoming the next National Lottery operator.” He highlighted the company’s dedication to establishing a robust and varied board, prepared to address the upcoming obstacles and prospects.
