Bet99, a Canadian online gaming firm, is partnering with Low6, a gaming technology company, to introduce a new collection of complimentary games. Centered around popular sports such as the NFL and NHL, these games intend to engage enthusiasts through activities like simulated drafts.
This “no-cost” method is gaining popularity in the US, with franchises like the Indianapolis Colts already featuring similar games backed by sports betting operators. The concept is that these games can draw in new patrons and offer an enjoyable, low-stakes introduction to the realm of sports wagering.
Milena Teskova, CEO of BQC Consulting, the organization behind Bet99, views this collaboration as a means to expand their audience and attract fresh users. Josh Turk, Low6’s Chief Strategy Officer for North America, shares this viewpoint, emphasizing how free games can inform new or casual supporters about sports betting within a regulated environment like Canada.
This development coincides with Bet99 targeting Ontario, a province that recently embraced online gaming and single-event sports wagering.
Ontarios Alcohol and Gaming Commission has granted approval to Kings Entertainment’s brand, although they are awaiting final authorization from iGaming Ontario to officially commence operations.
Simultaneously, Kings is undertaking significant steps to acquire Sports Venture Holdings, the organization overseeing the well-known Canadian sports betting platform, Bet99.
To finalize the agreement, they have arranged a shareholder gathering on October 25th to secure unanimous support.
