A significant online gaming company, Betsson, is increasing its presence in Latin America. They recently purchased Inkabet, a well-known wagering platform popular in western South America. This agreement solidifies Betsson’s position in an area they’ve highlighted as crucial for their expansion plan.
The transaction is initially estimated at $25 million, with the possibility of Betsson disbursing an extra $4 million contingent on Inkabet’s performance in the coming year. In essence, if Inkabet achieves specific revenue and earnings goals, Betsson will enhance the agreement.
Inkabet, recognized for its sports wagering and casino offerings, has operated since 2012 and experienced remarkable growth, generating over $25 million in revenue in the previous year alone.
Betsson will utilize its current lines of credit to fund this acquisition, showcasing their belief in this strategic action and their ongoing desire for growth.
The head of Betssons, Pontus Lindwall, highlighted the organization’s dedication to growing its footprint in Latin America through a recent purchase. Citing prior achievements in the area, Lindwall conveyed significant confidence in Betssons’ prospects within Latin America.
