The city of Buenos Aires has commenced the procedure of choosing seven online gaming permit holders, with fourteen operators competing for authorization in the marketplace.
The process began with fifteen companies registered to participate, but one of the two local operators without international collaborators, Slot Machines SA, did not submit its proposition at the gathering hosted by the Provincial Institute of Lottery and Casinos (IPLyC).
This implies that Biyemas will be the sole prospective applicant without a partnership with an international operator.
Several of the companies that presented their market plans to IPLyC personnel include William Hill and its partner Argenbingo; Flutter Entertainment and Bingo Pilar; 888 and Boldt; bet365 and Pasteko; Luckia and Crown; Intralot and Binbaires; and The Stars Group and Atlantica de Juego.
Additional companies taking part include Betway and King Bingo; Codere and Iberargen; BetCris operator TV Global Enterprises and Ivisa; Betsson and Casino de Victoria; Playtech and Hotel Casino Tandil; and Sisal, with its partners Areltown and El Chalero.
Collaborators are competing for operational permits to offer digital slot machines, casino entertainment, virtual sporting events, and wagering on equestrian and athletic contests.
Seven operational permits, effective for a period of fifteen years, will be granted. In return, operators will be required to pay a fee of sixty-five million Argentine pesos and a twenty-five percent levy on total earnings. Operators will be assessed by a specialized committee based on a list of twenty prerequisites. Standards encompass industry expertise, financial stability, and data protection.
The Governor of Buenos Aires Province, MarĂa Eugenia Vidal, signed the online gambling legislation in April of this current year. The legislation was enacted by the provincial administration in December of 2018.
