The entertainment and wagering entity, Circus, overseen by Gaming1, has declared its intention to maintain its collaborative arrangement with the Belgian football squad, Standard Liege, for the upcoming 2021-2022 campaign.
As part of this ongoing partnership, Circus, with its headquarters located in Liege, will continue to collaborate with the team on a variety of ventures, including sponsoring the halftime intervals and maintaining its position as the official esports partner of Standard Liege.
“Extending our alliance with Standard Liege was a straightforward choice for Circus, primarily due to our strong sense of belonging to Liege,” stated Emmanuel Mevison, the chief executive officer of Circus.
“Similar to Standard Liege, we utilize our influence within Belgium to enhance our brand recognition on a global scale.”
Furthermore, Circus will persist in sponsoring the Standard Liege uniform. The Circus emblem first graced the team’s jersey in 2018.
“Selecting Circus was a wise decision for us,” remarked Alexander Grojean, the chief executive officer of Standard Liege. “We are thrilled to prolong this vibrant collaboration, which has evolved into a lasting connection we have cultivated over time.”
He further added: “Both our organizations are dedicated to emphasizing our local origins while constructing a high-quality brand image on both a national and international platform.”
In the month of April, Gaming1 became a member of the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), enabling Circus to take part in the IBIA’s worldwide monitoring and alert system.
