Enlabs Penalized for Email Marketing in Lithuania

Lithuanian officials have levied a significant penalty on Enlabs for sending emails that included terms and conditions. They claim Enlabs was essentially attempting to entice individuals to engage in gambling by distributing emails outlining the game’s regulations. This practice is prohibited in Lithuania, which enforces stringent regulations regarding gambling advertising.

The email in question, disseminated by Enlabs’ Optibet brand in August, was titled “Rules Update: New Games.” It informed customers about modifications to the terms and conditions, encompassing new game regulations. The email featured a link to Optibet’s online gaming rules.

The Lithuanian Gambling Authority declared this a blatant infringement of the country’s gambling legislation, which was implemented last year. The law prohibits advertising gambling and bonuses.

This isn’t the first instance of Enlabs transgressing the regulations. In October 2021, they received a warning for a promotional campaign promoting their Optibet 21 point service.

During the tenth month of 2021, Lithuanian gambling authorities levied a penalty of €12,450 on Enlabs. They stated that the organization was operating a form of betting that violated the regulations.
