Betano Partners with Aston Villa for Primary Sponsorship

Kaizen Gaming’s Betano brand has inked a significant partnership with Aston Villa, becoming the club’s primary sponsor.

This marks the latest move for Betano in the United Kingdom.

The agreement, which will feature Betano’s logo on Aston Villa’s jerseys for the 2024-25 season, spans two years.

Aston Villa is currently performing strongly in the Premier League and has advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League.

The deal with the Midlands club follows Betano’s prior sponsorship announcements for the 2024 European Championship and the 2024 Copa America, both set to commence in June.

Chris Heck, Aston Villa’s President of Business Operations, expressed optimism about the deal’s potential.

“Aston Villa and Betano share a commitment to excellence. We anticipate achieving remarkable success together both on and off the pitch. This collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for both our organizations,” Heck stated.

George Daskalakis, Founder and CEO of Kaizen Gaming, added: “Aston Villa’s impressive achievements in the Premier League and their return to European football align with Betano’s own growth and ongoing accomplishments.”

Betano is rapidly gaining recognition in the UK through its association with Aston Villa.

A prominent betting firm, Betano, has joined forces with Aston Villa, a renowned English soccer club, to make their mark on the UK market. This alliance is a significant step for Betano, which has already established a strong presence in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Betano intends to make its debut in the UK before the 2024 European Championship. This is a major event, and Betano is eager to be a part of it.

Betano’s chief executive, Julio Iglesias Hernando, acknowledged that entering the UK market is a substantial challenge. He emphasized the need for the right partners to ensure success, drawing a parallel to a football team requiring the right players. This is why they have partnered with BVGroup, a company recognized for its commendable work.

A new regulation is set to take effect in 2026, prohibiting football teams from displaying gambling companies on their jerseys. However, until then, clubs like Aston Villa can still secure sponsorships from companies like Betano.

Last year, Aston Villa faced criticism from their supporters for collaborating with another betting firm, BK8. This occurred after the announcement of the new rule, leading some to view it as an unfavorable decision.

The Aston Villa Supporters’ Trust has condemned the move as a “last-minute effort to influence” fans, designed to secure funds from betting sponsors. They declare that the club is overlooking the possible harm gambling can inflict.
